Verifying or Making the Bluetooth Connection for the First Time

To ensure you are working with the correct model, it should have Star TSP650II printed on the front. Also, the back should look like this picture below. The 2 red buttons are evidence that the proper bluetooth hardware is installed.

Verifying or Making the Bluetooth Connection for the First Time

Note: The Bluetooth Printer can pair to only 1 iPad at a time. If you require printing or cash drawer opening from multiple iPads, you need 1 Bluetooth Printer for each.

  1. Go to the Settings app on the iPad.

  2. Go to the Bluetooth section and make sure Bluetooth is turned on.

  3. If the printer was paired already in the past you should see Star Micronics (Connected). If you don't see this, proceed to Step 5.

  4. To initially pair or re-pair the printer, you must first activate the Bluetooth connection on the printer.

  5. To do this, press and hold the red-colored PAIR button on the back of the printer for 5 or more seconds.

  6. When the LED light on the back begins flashing you are ready to Pair the device on the iPad.

  7. Touch the Star Micronics in the device list to begin pairing.

  8. It should say Connected next to Star Micronics after successful.
