If you find that your Verifone P400 reader pictured below no longer responds or attempts to collect payments when you press Use Molo Terminal please follow the steps below.


Background Info About Network and WiFi

IMPORTANT: The card reader and the computer trying to use that reader must be on the same network. Some important things to check. You can consult your IT staff or consultant if these questions do not make sense to you.

  1. If the workstation is connected by ethernet, you must make sure the reader and workstation are connected to the same router, or network switch. The two devices must NOT be on separate VLAN's.
  2. If the workstation is on WiFi, you must not be on a guest WiFi. You must be on the WiFi that shares the same LAN (Local Area Network) as the ethernet-connected reader.
  3. You must not have firewalls or network segmentation between the card reader and the workstation using that reader.


Step 0 - Power Cycle

       1. Unplug the power, wait 10 seconds, plug it back in.


Step 1 - Delete The Terminal

  1. In Molo navigate to Menu --> Admin --> Molo Terminals.
  2. Click on the terminal that isn't working.
  3. On the right side, click Delete.


Step 2 - Setup the Terminal Again

  1. In Molo navigate to Menu --> Admin --> Molo Terminals.
  2. Click New Molo Terminal.
  3. Give the terminal a name like "Front Desk Cashier".
  4. Press 07139 on the terminal.
  5. Type the code from the terminal screen into Molo using the same exact spelling and dashes.
  6. Press Done.
  7. Now at the bottom of the right panel touch Make My Default Terminal.


Step 3 - Reset Your Browser (Try this if Steps 1 and 2 don't work)

  1. Press the Chrome Menu represented by three dots at the top right of the browser.

  3. Go to More tools --> Clear browsing data.
  4. Click Advanced.
  5. Choose Time Range --> All time
  6. Check the boxes next to: Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files.
