When using the Molo Express Card Reader (Verifone P400 Plus) signature is not required for any transaction.
Many marine businesses have become accustomed over the years to collecting a signature with credit card payments. New regulations from the card brands (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, etc.) have indicated that when a merchant has the ability to accept chipped cards, (EMV/Chip) regardless of the method of payment collection, that signatures are never required.
Moreover, since signatures are not required by the card brands they provide no additional protection or supporting documentation in the case of a dispute or chargeback. As a result, the signature process has been removed from Molo entirely. You need not spend time collecting signatures which will lead to a faster and more pleasant checkout process for customers.
