Molo supports a variety of hourly dockage rates and charge methods.

Explanation of Settings

Go to Menu --> Admin --> Time-Based Rates to build or edit existing hourly dockage rates.

  1. Hourly Calculation
    1. Rounding - This method will always charge a full hour amount without decimals. Example: $1.50 * 24 Feet * 2 Hours
    2. Decimal - This method can convert the number of minutes in an hour to a decimal to optimize revenue capture for odd lengths of stay. Example: $15 * 2.75 Hours
    3. Block - This method will always charge full hours without decimals but will always round up to the next block of hours. Example: $15 * 4 Hours
  2. Round Up Minutes - This setting affects the Rounding and Decimal methods. It instructs the system after how many minutes should we round up to the next full hour.
  3. Minimum Hours - This setting affects the Rounding and Decimal methods. It will always charge a minimum number of hours for shorter stays.
  4. Number of Hours in Block - This setting affects the Block method. It will always charge a minimum number of hours in blocks and not do any hourly rounding or decimals.
