In Molo, we have a few different Space Types to help you optimize the way your reservations and contracts behave. Each individual space can be updated by going into Menu --> Space and Resource Settings > Spaces.

The below spaces allow for multiple reservations per space:

  • Long Edge (Alongside Dockage) - a Long Edge space in Molo allows multiple vessels docked bow-to-stern by looking the Length of the Vessel and compares it to the remaining Max Length of the Space. Molo adds a Safety Length* on the front and rear of each Vessel to allow space between the Reservations.
  • Short Edge - a Short Edge space allows multiple reservations by looking at the Beam of the Vessels and compares it to the remaining Max Beam of the Space with a Safety Length* on the sides of each Vessel to allow space between the Reservations.

*the safety length default is set by the Molo AM Team so please touch base with our team to update

The below space types just allow one booking per space:

  • Mooring - lets the marina staff know that spaces are located beyond the pier.
  • Dry Storage - lets the marina staff know that space is located on land.
  • Rack - lets the marina staff know that vessel is in a set structure on land.
  • Single Slip - The most common slip type used in Molo. Used for wet slips that can house one vessel.
  • PWC Dock - This is used to help the rest of the Marina identify the smaller spaces for Jet Skis and other personal watercrafts.
