Problem Description
"What happens if an existing customer in Molo uses Online Booking? Does it create a new contact?"
Important Information
Online Reservations appear in blue font in the Reservation List screen.
Resolution Steps
When an Online Booking is created, Molo gives the option to either merge with an existing contact or create a new contact.
- On the left menu, navigate to Spaces > Reservation List.
- Find an existing Online Booking reservation and click on it.
- On the top of the reservation, click Merge to open the Merge Contact window.
- Select the desired action:
- To merge a contact:
- Click on an existing Contact.
- Click on the linked Vessel (if applies).
- Click Done.
- To create a new contact:
- Click Add Contact and Vessel as New.
- Click Add Contact and Vessel as New.
- To merge a contact:
Verification:
- For merged contacts: the Online Booking reservations appears in the Contact's reservations.
- For new contacts: the new contact appears in the Contacts list.
